Offline Social Club
A chill social club in Katy, Texas
Offline Social Club is for people who desire authentic friendships and community, but hate social media, group chats, and pretty much everything related to going out (What do I wear? Where can I park? Who all gone be there?!).
If you’re neurodivergent, a homebody, socially anxious, or just burnt out, this is the super chill social club for you.
Events ✨
Every month, we’ll enjoy four curated events:
Week 1: Game night. We’ll play games like Uno, trivia, Cards Against Humanity, or original games that we make up.
Week 2: Soul night. We’ll have a guided journaling, yoga, or meditation session that nurtures the soul.
Week 3: Craft night. We’ll create a variety of fun and colorful crafts.
Week 4: Book club night. We’ll have a lively discussion on a book that we selected to read during week 1.
Connection 🫶🏾
Because we want to build genuine relationships offline, there won’t be a group chat or a request to follow everyone on social media. Instead, we’ll exchange handwritten letters with another member of the group each week. At the end of the month, we’ll switch partners and write to someone new!
Details ✍🏾
We’ll meet on the same day every week from 7:30pm-9:30pm in Katy, Texas. It’ll always be in the same comfortable place, a community clubhouse near I-10 and Cane Island Parkway. Current options are Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights.
The suggested attire is comfortable, but feel free to wear whatever you want. Sweatpants and bonnets are welcome!
All four events, snacks, drinks, and all supplies are included in the monthly membership price of $85 per month.
The group is capped at 12 people maximum, and applying doesn’t = automatic approval.
Things to consider before applying 🤔
Do I have the capacity to show up once a week? Of course life happens and you will sometimes need to cancel, but we want to prioritize people who have the capacity to show up consistently.
Am I willing to be a little uncomfortable at the beginning? Meeting new people can be a lot. Are you willing to be uncomfortable until we all get to know each other better?
What’s my real motivation for joining? If it’s to form authentic connections with other people offline, perfect! If it’s to network or build social status, this isn’t the right place.
Meetings will start in December!
